Doesn't anyone think that this will encourage the UK away from being a financial service based economy into a more manufacturing economy .At the moment don't we have all our eggs in one basket and that being the case very vulnerable to market forces beyond our control.Kickstarting the manufacturing sector again could give us more alternatives for tax receipts and lesson the blow from losing free trade in Europe

A statement of the obvious with just a teensy tinge of pessimism.

In fairness I think you're healing rather well .

I'm glad he's committed to Britain as he has all my money. He's going nowhere, end of.

An there you have it, HSBC pull out of London, then every British HSBC customer withdraws every penny and moves it to Santander. The banks are rich, rich with other people's money. A good solid run on a bank from a wealthy country can be the end of that bank!

The banks and the economy are just massive Poker sites, Poker sites need many many more "depositing players" as they're needed to allow for a few winning/withdrawing players.

A depositing player is a player who adds money to the site, loses, adds more money. They keep depositing money into the site week in week out. That's the fuel for the site.
