I think they're good. Excellent use of multi-coloured pens and recycled cardboard, not a spelling mistake in sight. I'm all for good democratic peaceful protest, its all we've got left, better than just posting on forums all the time...

Looks as though this is petering out, and the PLP is too scared to go their own way and is aiming to appease.

This was a great opportunity to build a progressive coalition with the Liberal Democrats, a better reflection of who they are, pro-EU, liberal, meritocratic, fiscally responsible but ready to invest, and they don't appear to have the courage to do so.
Given Labour appears to be a combination of cowards and Corbynites it's clearly not the place for my membership subs.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig
Labour's membership has essentially been hijacked and the PLP are not on solid ground. They would have gone for the challenge but Corbyn is automatically put on the ballot and then with another highly motivated push from Momentum, the Greens and the SWP they may well lose again at which point they're screwed.
Starting another party or joining the Liberal Democrats is just as risky too. First of all it would trigger a wave of by-elections which could only really cost them and split the left and give the Tories a bigger majority and UKIP some seats. Finally with the Unions funding Labour then where does the cash for this new party come from? Individual donors tend to prefer the Tories and Unions Labour. You would need rich liberal donors and the Lib Dems have always struggled to find them.
I think the siege approach might be best for now. Signs are the will of the membership, maybe even Corbyn, is wilting over time and the longer they stick this out the harder it is for Corbyn to continue.
Plus Chilcot reports tomorrow which will take the wind of their sails for a bit.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig
I see that there are now attempts to broker peace within the Labour Party.
I have taken the liberty of informing my Constituency Labour Party that the rebels are cowards, and their dogma selfish. They are all about saving Labour when it is clear Labour is beyond saving and the country needs a viable opposition.
That they put the colour of their rosette ahead of the country doesn't work for me but, then, I always found Labour weird and never really had an attachment to it.

We need a strong opposition. I wanted to try and play a part in forming that. Evidently overly-optimistic.

Probably better off seeing if the Lib Dems have been forgiven and rebuilding.
