Making a one off payment
I usually pay by direct debit.
Am switching banks soon - all direct debits get switched too so the VM DD should be fine, but in case it's not I'm thinking of making an extra one off payment.
Will VM charge a fee for making a payment that isn't via direct debit, even if it's a one off, and will they correctly take the payment into account the next billing point and not take anything on th DD?
Thanks

VM charge a flat fee of £5 for any payment not made by DD. Any remaining amount at the DD date will be taken in the normal way. It normally takes up to 24 Hours for the amount to be credited to your account so, I guess if you paid on the day before the DD both could be actioned on the account but you will be in credit at the next bill point. The money isn't lost.

No they don't. They charge £5 if you don't have a Direct Debit set up.
Any payments made don't have a fee themselves. So if you do have a Direct Debit on your account, then there are no fees to pay one off amounts.

My bad, I thought the fee applied all the time.
