My Virgin is ex directory and I still get cold calls about pa to it. Considering I never use the number any where else as it's my backup line virgin have leaked my details.
VM may not have leaked the details, cold calling companies use computer generated numbers by knowing correct ranges per area code

Yes ours is ex directory and not a day goes by without one or two cold calls.
