Standby or always on

I've recently installed a Tivo Box, and I'll be going away for a couple of weeks soon. I will be recording a few programmes while I'm away. Should I leave it in standby ( one red light and one green) or on (two green lights)? Also, I have been putting it in standby overnight? Is this ok or should I leave it "always on"

Re: Standby or always on

I know it will record on standby, but my question was should I leave it on standby while I'm away, or should I leave it "always on"

You can leave it in standby if that's your normal way you use it.

Re: Standby or always on

Leave it in standby. It'll still record but will save power.

If you've left the settings at default it'll put itself into standby after a while anyway.
