I often dropped into their onsite shop to buy broken biscuits at huge discount. A lorryload would be too many however....

35 year old man from Liverpool arrested, sounds like he had 'travelled' a fair distance.

THREE men accused of stealing £20,000 worth of Wagon Wheels and Jammie Dodgers will face no further actions after the case against them crumbled today.
A lorry full of the tea time snacks was stolen in a heist at Burton’s Biscuits in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, in June.
Gwent Police appeared to have made a major breakthrough in the hunt for the biscuit factory raiders last month when three men were charged.
But the half-baked prosecution was abandoned at Newport Magistrates Court, south Wales.

Not a crumb of evidence then?

Re: £12,000 worth of biscuits stolen from Cwmbran factory
I used to work next to a biscuit factory, it was torture.
Imagine its a hot summers day, starting a 8am and as its a warehouse the shutter is open and the smell of biscuits wafting through the door.
Now move forward to 7pm you're starving and its going to be another 2 hours before you leave and get some food.
