V Box
I have a TiVo box down stairs and a v Box upstairs, Today the V Box has started to turn its self off and now the little blue heart on the front keeps flashing.I can pick up all the TV programs on it ok but it's annoying that it keeps switching off.
My TiVo box down stairs is working fine so was wondering why I'm getting these problems with the V Box

Re: V Box
How often is it turning off? It it's every 3 hours, power-saving may be enabled. You can disable it in the settings menu.
If it's not that, the box has developed a fault. Give the VM Faults team a call.

My V box started doing this a few days ago, so I started checking the connections, taking out the card at the back, putting it back in, but nothing worked. Then I checked 'settings' and found that the power savings option had turned on. I disabled this and now it's back to normal. So my advice is to check your settings to make sure that these have not changed. I do wonder if VM have changed our settings corporately to enhance their environmental credentials! I wish they wouldn't, though!

No they haven't. The EU Power Saving Directive only applies to brand new STBs, so it would be pointless for VM to change it at a later time.

Re: V Box
Well since posting this , the box has been ok. It was turning off every few hours. Very strange. I will see how it goes and In the meantime I will check settings to see if the power save is on. Don't know how it could be though as it wasn't on. Thanks for your help guys.

I assume my box had a bit of a blip, then. It never turned itself off before.
