Regarless of their motive, she is breaking the law, something cyclists seem to do on a regular basis - and then wonder why so many of them get hit & injured, or killed.

While I wait for my bus I often see cyclists ignore red traffic lights.

The article is all about smearing Labour .. cycling is just a means to an end

And where did I claim any different?
Maybe you should have bothered to read and digest what I wrote:

I don't suppose many of those complaining 'low blow' would be doing so if it was Farage's/Cameron's/Clegg's wife or children but there we are...

Did I write or imply 'all of' those who complained? Ermmm.... NO!
For your guide I am well aware of your stance on such matters and wondering why you'd assume I'd rate you on the same level as one of the usual suspect hypocrites. Maybe I think more highly of you than you imagine...

Re: She will be more careful on her bike in future
It's been common for 20+ years now for cyclists to think that road rules do not cover them. It seems to be since they reduced\stopped cycling proficiency tests.
When I was about 8 my whole class was taken to a place where they had a full mini street layout with lights, crossings, roundabouts and junctions that we rode round on supplied bikes\trikes and shown how to proceed at all junctions. It was compulsory for everyone at school at that age at that time.. Mind you it wasn't in this country.

As I said, there have been these sort of articles on bad cycling about Conservatives. So how is it smearing? It is not the Daily Mail that took the pictures. The credits say Tillen Dove.

Do you think they accidently ended up in the Daily Mail? Or maybe they are running, by coincidence, a cycling awareness campaign a few days before the general election and, unknown to them, the Leader of the Oppositions wife just happens to cycle in front their cameras (repeatedly). Yup, that's it .. no smear campaign at all, just public minded citizens .. what would we do without them?

Miss Thornton’s spate of pedal-powered law-breaking began on Tuesday when she left the London barristers’ chambers where she specialises in environmental law.
she certainly doesn't specialise in the highway code -but then again its not for toffs is it they just do as they please .

Especially when their law breaking makes it so easy for them. It's almost as if she is conspiring against ed, she should have known better whereas the mail definitely know no better
