Ah, there's 4 on that page and you have to specifically click on one of the others...

looks a lot better than some of the other Linksys products since Cisco vanished from the scene. I would like to see some benchmarks and see what it can do. These newer models aren't on smallnetbuilder yet but the ea6900 can do 923mbits which will be more than enough for us atm.

This is better for VM just a router, and its cheaper.

I'm guessing Hom3r meant the Linksys AC1900 cable router and clicked on it before pasting the link on the forum, thinking it would then link back to the AC1900. However, the link defaults to showing the XAC1900 Router - there's no unique url for each router.
Which leads me on to why does Amazon put four different routers together on one page with all the reviews combined, and no way to link to individual routers - I think it's a bit of a mess and I wish Amazon didn't do it.

There is a way to link to individual routers, but they are combined as a product group to aid the customer in model selection. It's less relevant in routers but useful in other categories, e.g. bike parts or lcothing where you can select different sizes or colours of the same parts on one page, instead of opening up 15 windows for the 15 different variations of one product.

We are just buying Netgear R7000 but not from Amazon since price has gone £139 -> £133 -> £129 -> £126 -> £129 -> £154. This seems well regarded.
If it's aerials you want.

Yep! ... You don't really need any higher then a AC1200 (or at best) AC1750 router because most USB wifi adapters don't take advantage of the hardware!

Re: Shub 2: How do AC dongles fare with this?
Most USB adapters can't even go above 2x2 AC @ 866Mbps. Even most laptop internal adapters don't. The only laptop *or* aftermarket card capable of AC1300 is the 15" Macbook Pro's. Had to import one from Ebay in Hong Kong.
Intel is supposedly going to catch up with their next generation (Skylake-U/Y) platform.

I bought a new HP laptop recently and it had a built-in 72mbps wirelessN chip! ... So I bought a Linksys WUSB6300 which goes canny with me EA6700! it'll do me for the foreseeable future cause I can't see Virgin firing out 1GB broadband anytime soon lol
