Ok Well it seems I was feed more VirginMedia crap. Called up to find out when the issue was going to be resolved to be told I had a made up reference number and no oversubscription problem ever existed.
WTF Virgin media? Waiting for a CS agent to call back after being put through to a very helpful tech.

Any particular reason you have not yet apparently posted on the obvious VM Help Site with the "Reference No." you were originally given? (Someone registered with the same "username" as yours on 21Dec but hasn't yet posted?).
Forum Team there will give you all the answers your require in 2-5 days (but may not necessarily like). :p

The Virgin forum team are more than just helpful.
But carry on with your back and forth crap instead of doing the sensible thing and posting on the forum.

Then again a simple capacitor is sufficient as an isolator.

That's a very dangerous transposition of the actual anatomical fibrillation research that even a basic electrical engineer knows! Amps KILL Volts Don't.
You're also obviously too young to have messed around with Capacitors on the old TV Thermionic HT circuits as well.... :p
