I think it's a case of either being in denial or "we don't care what he's like as long as he deals with the EU/those nasty immigrants".

Amusingly, the French National Front won't have anything to do with Farage's new chum, as they think his views are beyond the pale....

Mike Read is withdrawing his single saying he is "sorry he unintentionally caused offence".

Whether or not you like the politics it's a great piece of political satire, a proper Anti-establishment calypso very much in the vein of Lance Percival and Jake Thackray years ago. Still available on YouTube!
I don't want to see Farage in number 10 but UKIP are making the other parties sit up and take notice of public opinion which can't be bad.

I think 'great pieces of political satire' don't seek to promote a specific political party. I am also how sure what it satirises? It does two things, mention where the other parties have failed and what UKIP will do better. I.E " Oh yes, when we take charge, and the new prime minister is Farage, we can trade with the world again when Nigel is at No. 10.". It just seems like a typical political campaign song.

Damien you are probably right, I went too far calling it a "great" maybe refreshing would have been a better word.
The calypso style, believed to have originated with the French troubadours but then adopted by the slaves, the poor and the oppressed in the Caribbean islands, particularly Jamaica, were generally anti-establishment criticizing those in power and suggesting extreme solutions to overthrow the oppressors. In Jamaica these were often in the local patois, but many of the songs were banned by government once the meaning was understood!
I once wrote and performed my own calypso entitled "Big Society" about the failings of the Cameron/Clegg coalition and Cameron's big society ambitions, all intended to be tongue in cheek satire but it went down very well at my local folk club!

Fair enough! I guess I might be been a bit hasty to dismiss it as satire entirely, I guess political parties can satirise each other, it's just I think it loses a lot of it's power and relevancy when it seeks to promote an alternative political party.
