Anything to be concerned with? Tried rebooting, keeps reoccurring.

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
Strange for sure but, given there are no post RS errors, I'm not sure that it's anything to worry about.
Monitoring it is probably the right thing to do.
I assume that you are currently not seeing any issues with your connection?

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
The on;y thing to note here is whether or not the post-RS count is rising during normal operation and when there has been no reboot.
During a reboot, at the first stage when there is no synch, all the data pouring in is gibberish and corrupted. Hence the pre/post-RS error count. During normal operation, there should be no post-RS errors whatsoever.

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
Got about 250 on each channel(?) in the last 27 hours.
Is that a material number?

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
On the assumption that yo cleared the counters and then rebooted (!) the 200 or so post-RS errors are not material.
If the network log shows no Reset/Reboot, then 274 post-RS errors is material I f it keeps climbing without a reboot.
Others might say that 200+ is next to nothing - and they're right but most people have zero post-RS errors in normal operation. So that's 200+ packets of data that you've lost.

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
yeah, to put things in perspective, my post-rs errors are around 300 or just below on each channel and I can't remember the last time I rebooted my shub, it was at least 2 months ago.

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
You need to be more specific in this sort of remote forum, Glitch. You know exactly what you mean but we don't.
Presumably, you mean that without rebooting the hub, you are getting thousands of post-RS errors. That's not good and VM would need to send a tech out to assess and fix things. If your neighbours have similar, then it's in the network or at the street cabinet.

Re: Pre RS Errors on one channel
Your DS5 shows abnormal values. Zeros. This might be best reported on the VM forum so that the team there can take a look (takes a couplke of days before thy get to you).
