Should I report?
There is a family who lives a few doors away, and there is a mum, dad, 3 kids and lately another adult living in the house. Fine you might say, but it is a 2 bed house. Plus the third adult, if he has been away for a day or so, will beep his horn as soon as he turns into the road. Despite being asked politely to stop this behaviour, he still carries on doing it. And even did it at half past 6 Saturday morning. Can I report him to my community police officer?
But more of a concern is the overcrowding situation in the house, I believe they are renting it but have no idea who the agents are in charge of it. I can hardly go calling every estate agent in my area asking if they represent the owner of a certain property so at a loss as to whether to report to social services or find out the owners and report to them what is happening in their property.
Assume this is right section, if not then please move mods.

Re: Should I report?
I dont think thats classed as overcrowding. The house I moved from last year said on the rent book, Max amount of people 12.5. That was a 4 bed house. I`m in a 2 bed bungalow now and it says Max 6.5

Re: Should I report?
Regarding the car horn, I'd report that to the local council and the police.
As for the 'overcrowding', unless it directly impacts on you, the neighbours or it places someone's health and safety at risk I'd suggest to keep out of the matter.

Re: Should I report?
If the overcrowding is good enough for foreigners. then it's got to be good enough for them.

Re: Should I report?
You say that Mum, Dad, 3 kids and lately another adult living in the house, I don't think that could be classed as overcrowding as Mum & Dad in one bedroom, 3 kids in other bedroom with the other adult sleeping in living room. A bit of squeeze I admit.
As for the car horn I agree with Russ and I suppose you could contact your local council or the police. Personally I wouldn't if it's that bad someone else will likely do that for you.

I think you should try to relax more. You sound a tad neurotic.

I do need to relax more, but when you have a neighbour who slams her doors and cupboards at all times during the day, and I mean all times. Had it at half past 2 in the morning before now. Add into that the family I am complaining about in the OP, and also a dog who only needs someone a few hundred metres away to fart or sneeze to start barking and you might just understand why I seem to be wound up all the time. Only thing doctor suggests is counselling which has a waiting list of 4 months or take anti depression meds full time. Which doesn't appeal to me.

Re: Should I report?
I can certainly understand the noisy neighbour issues, my apologies, just thought you were moaning about something that wasn't really your concern. I used to have a neighbour that had door-slamming habits too. Luckily she buggered off. Now I've just got yapping dogs (again, I understand) and stinking chickens to put up with.
I hope you find a way to handle these issues Mark, they can drag you down to the bottom. Just bother yourself with the ones that directly affect you, and to hell with those that don't.
