Maybe Dell think that laptops aren't plugged into Ethernet that often .. that or they are just very miserly

The 100Mb nic issues will get fixed. That's all I can say and I believe was posted by another tester in is thread.

....I sincerely hope that's a typo. There's no excuse for not bundling gigabit ethernet these days, even on a laptop. IF your argument is that laptops tend to be on wireless, then why bother with an ethernet port at all?

Test by person with AC hardware.
Not my tests

Range: 8-10 Meters (1 floor and 1 wall)
RSSI: -60dBm
Reported link speed: 975Mbps (3x3 80MHz ac)

TCP throughput - 310Mbps
UDP throughput - 444Mbps

Interesting, thanks. I wonder what client he's using, that's about 40% slower than on a BT Home Hub 5 even with a 2x2 card. It's also a lot slower than Intel's fairly crappy 1st-gen 2x2 AC chips, which is unexpected...
