Are you actual kidding me!! That is a terrible generalisation and shocking way to think. I pity you.

as I have mentioned before kids while learning to talk absorb and repeat a lot of words they hear. They may only hear it once but its imprinted on their little minds, which is just like a sponge.

Don't pity me, pity the poor kid.

I have a 3 year old, he's never said a swear word because he's never heard one. Believe me, myself, my wife, family and friends are all proficient in the use of colourful language. But not in front of an infant, or any child for that matter.

It says a lot about the kind of people you are that think it's alright.

If my child inadvertently picked up a swear word and used it, he would be very quickly disciplined and told very firmly not to use that word. Not celebrated and posted all over the internet.

If you think it's acceptable, It is I that pity you.

Excuse you!! I never said anything of the sort.

Kids will pick new words up after only hearing them once. Doesn't have to be anyone in the family. It could be out in the street or on TV.

I did state that they shouldn't have posted the video online.

....or at school. If you want your children to be part of the real world then they're bound to pick up stuff you would rather they didn't. My youngest was calling everybody an idiot for a while (not a word used in our household). It was, however, preferable to the C.. word that my eldest daughter picked up from a "friend" at her gymnastics class!

What do you do? Vet everybody that your child is likely to come into contact?

No. It does them no harm. It gives parents the opportunity to enlighten their children about matters that they, otherwise, wouldn't have the opportunity to enlighten them about.

Re: Children swearing lately

Exactly. Claiming they must live on a housing estate or have a low class family is a terrible mindset to have.

Would you celebrate the fact your toddler, I'm talking about a toddler, not a child at school, that has only a vocab of few words anyway, that one of the first words she has learnt is to swear, not "idiot" but the F word or worse.

And would you be such a proud parent of that, that you would post it on the internet?

Again, shows your standards are about as low as as they come.

Doesn't make it any less true.
