It gets delivered by courier too, so there absolutely no excuse for not delivering on the day they said. I guess VM don't realise that people do other things instead of using their services all day.

to be fair I think that is Yodel being ****, but still a reflection of VM's cheap ass-ness for going with one of the worst courier companies that are around atm.

Re: Woeful WiFi performance, particularly downstairs from SuperHub 1
one of two things has happened:
1) the order didn't go through in time for the weekend which is why it wasn't delivered today. It has probably been processed today and will get delivered tomorrow
2) (and I have seen this happen recently) The order didn't go through for whatever reason, it has vanished into fresh air and you have not been charged for delivery. Time has been wasted and you need to ring up and go through the palaver of sorting it all out again.
I think you should ring up either way and find out what is going on. If they say it is coming tomorrow I would moan my ass off and ask for you £6 delivery back and leave a note on your door asking them to leave it with a neighbour or specific house number, I do it all the time

Re: Woeful WiFi performance, particularly downstairs from SuperHub 1
Hey folks, ended up getting the superhub 2 on Wednesday, and although its a bit of an improvement the 2.4ghz is still too weak downstairs, so seems I'll have to invest in a router to put at the bottom of the stairs and hope it helps things!
Thanks for your help so far guys

Only takes a few views on a particular item and the price rockets, bit like the software airlines use to "tweak" the prices according to number of views. I've been caught out by Amazon a few times...although the price often resets itself to the original after a couple of days.

I've found that the 2.4Ghz on the superhub2 is about as good as the 2.4Ghz on my Asus (at least in terms of range), so yeah in situations like that you are better just setting up a second access point.

TOP TIP: When browsing around for price comparisons or whatever, use Incognito/private browsing/porn mode. 9 times out of 10, they target you directly via cookies (Rather than IP's or whatever) and this stops cookies from being saved.
