Line rental saver

Asking for a relative. They called a week ago Friday and paid the line rental saver by card. She was looking at her my Virgin Media page over the weekend and the charges column was showing £144 and she is understandably worried she will be charged twice.

Has anyone on here who has done this know if this is just normal practice, the charge shows but is not actually charged when the bill is generated the following month? If it is normal, then I won't tell her to call Virgin. If not normal, then I will definitely be getting her to call.

Last October when I paid I had a letter from VM confirming payment. The only thing that has appeared on my bills is a zero charge for the phone service and a few lines saying that I've paid by line rental saver.

The Line Rental Saver will show up as a charge that month, but will also show up as a credit in the payments section, as you have already paid for it separately. Your bills will then show 0 for Line Rental, along with the expiry date of your current LRS.

Cool, so it is just how they show it then? In that case, will tell them to wait for the next bill to come before worrying.
