Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, wrongly imprisoned for three murders, dies.
"US former boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, whose wrongful conviction for murder caused an international outcry, has died at the age of 76."
"I lived in hell for the first 49 years, and have been in heaven for the past 28 years. To live in a world where truth matters and justice, however late, really happens, that world would be heaven enough for us all." Rubin "Hurricane" Carter - Feb 2014.

If 2 people choose to lie for some reason, I'm not sure it should be classed as a wrongful conviction. Based on the evidence at the time of the trial it may have been a correct decision. If somebody successfully frames you, you can't blame the legal system. Blame the people doing the framing. Who is to say that pressure wasn't brought to bear on the witnesses to change their story.

I'm sure there's a guy in prison in America who is convicted of rape and isn't going to be released despite his victim coming forward and admitting she lied, they won't let him out as the jury decision is final, except in a lot of cases it isn't and there let out but in that particular case it's final.

How on earth were 2 burglars considered credible witnesses?
