Android Phone Contacts
Hi all,
Just got a phone upgrade and I've noticed that I'm missing a few contacts.
On my old Android phone they were saved as "Google" Contacts so why should be stored in my Google Contacts account, but some are missing when I synced the new phone.
Any ideas they this happens? And more to the point - apart from re-creating them, any idea how I can re-sync them. I have tried the re-sync option already.

Re: Android Phone Contacts
hi Lee, I've not had that problem but just found this thread on Android Central that may give you some things to try if no one comes up with anything else.

Re: Android Phone Contacts
Thanks for that, but I did a bit more Googling and found a way to export them from the "phone" folder into GMail Contacts. Once synced in the Google cloud I was able to re-sync my new device and it pulled them back down.
Unfortunately I do have some duplicates so I'm merging the contact cards using the Google Contacts on the PC and will then re-sync them to the phone.

Re: Android Phone Contacts
Duplicates!!!!! Now those I have had experience of. I have several contacts list and different Google+ circles. Quite a few people appear on at least a couple of lists and Google just imported the whole lot. Took me ages to sort that one out satisfactorily.
Glad you got you problem sorted though Lee. I hate things like this. I know they aren't important in the scheme of things but they are dang annoying.

Re: Android Phone Contacts
Come to think of it that was what I did with my Ovivo sim. and I then copied the details to my laptop so a clean list of contacts has been sitting on my laptop all the time I was faffing around. Duh!!!!
Will do that now to save problems when I change I phone next month. Cheers tiz.

Ahh but what if / when you upgrade your phone, you get a new SIM? And the SIM can only save basic contact info as far as I know.
