Poor little mites - brings back memories of the Herald of Free Enterprise sinking just of Zeebrugge. A young lady who I new drowned and some neighbours who nearly died that night.

I travelled home on leave with my wife on board that ship 2 weeks before it sank. I do hope there has not been a major loss of life off the S Korean cost.

One crew member, named as 22-year-old Park Ji-young, is said to have lost her life while struggling to make sure passengers on the upper floors of the ferry wore life jackets and found their way out.
What a horrible tragedy.

I do think the Captain and some of the crew were wrong placing their own lives ahead of those of there terrified passengers.
