You that easily manipulated? I'm pretty sure I'm not.

Frankly most of their viewers watch soaps, quizzes, reality and talent shows and ignore all the political stuff.I watch mostly the detective shows and animal documentaries and stuff like antiques Roadshow, consumer stuff and music and arts shows with anything about Railways and travel..

Politics shows are so boring and are always about the presenter.Complete waste of my time. When you compare the output of ITV and channel 4, I'm frankly impressed at the depth that the BBC can produce in comparison.

And they are not the only people to get summat wrong..I suspect their track record stands up against every other news source, some whom couldn't give a rat's arse whether they get any facts right just as long as they get the story first.

Re: Syria: Cameron and Obama threaten 'serious response'

The faking and doctoring of Syria war footage goes well beyond 'getting something wrong'. The BBC are very pro attacking Assad for some reason and faking propaganda to make news and documentary viewers think the same way is how you would expect a communist state broadcaster to behave.

As has said before, David Bellamy got axed as he wouldn't push the BBC's man made global warming propaganda all those years ago. It is not just news and politics programmes that are affected. Repeat the same thing continously and a majority of those listening will start to believe it.

It appears you hold the BBC in high respect and thus will defend it even if they murder baby kittens

Mmmmm, and there was me thinking it was peer-reviewed scientific findings, rather than propaganda.

btw, David Bellamy is a botanist, not a climatologist, and he stopped making TV programmes for the BBC in 1994, ten years before he said anything "contradictory" about Climate Change....

Please find this in the Guardian article from 2002....

Quote:
He tells me how he got talking to a man on a train some time before the 1997 election and told him he was torn between voting for Arthur Scargill's Socialist Labour party and the Referendum party. The man told him he was an agent for the Referendum party, and soon after he got an invitation to lunch from Sir James Goldsmith, its founder. "It was the most fascinating lunch I've ever had. A bloody good lunch. I said: 'Why have you suddenly become a goody after being a baddy?' And he said: 'You go into a fish restaurant and the fish are full of poison, and that's why I'm dying of pancreatic cancer.' And I said, 'Well, I don't think you can prove that.' And he said, 'No, I can't prove it, but you say some bloody stupid things too.'"

It was then that Goldsmith asked him to stand against Major. "In some ways it was probably the most stupid thing I ever did because I'm sure that if I have been banned from television, that's why. I used to be on Blue Peter and all those things, regularly, and it all, pffffft, stopped."

Actually, he says, his TV career had stopped some time before that - he made his last BBC series eight years ago.

It was propaganda as the BBC would only report about the scientists who backed peer reviewed findings that said all global warming was down to man. They didn't mention the tens of thousands of scientists who backed another peer review that said there was no evidence.

In fact even the pro-man made global warming group couldn't actually proof that they were right and even now 10 years later are no only saying they are 95%.

You can hear Bellamy insinuate how many BBC staff got kicked for not agreeing with the BBC position: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcOgAqxVpb4

The Bellamy is a small fish compared to the BBC taking multiple takes of an apparent live scene in a war zone hospital and then doctoring the words said. Shame they don't mention more about the woman they were interviewing as she is known to have some interesting links to other people and groups....

Saudi Arabia, in an unprecedented show of anger at the failure of the international community to end the war in Syria and act on other Middle East issues, said on Friday it would not take up its seat on the United Nations Security Council.

Looks like the mad man is using chemical weapons again.

Quote:
The French government says there are "indications" Syrian President Bashar al Assad is still using chemical weapons against his own people.

Opposition groups claim chlorine gas attacks on at least three towns left dozens of people injured last week.

"We have a few elements of information, but I do not have the proof," French President Francois Hollande told Europe 1 radio station.

Re: Syria: Cameron and Obama threaten 'serious response'

Billy Vague will not be too amused if this turns out to be true.

"Syria crisis: Iran and Assad have won, say top Tehran foreign policy figures

Insiders say western strategy in Syria encouraged radicals and backfired, leading to threat to European security from returning jihadis."

Ooops!

Re: Syria: Cameron and Obama threaten 'serious response'

from the link...

Quote:
Terrorism perpetrated by al-Qaida-linked jihadist groups and individuals armed and funded by Sunni Muslim Arab countries was now the main threat facing the Syrian people, Broujerdi said. Many foreign fighters who had travelled to Syria from Britain and other European countries could soon return.

"We are worried about the future security of Europe," he said. "We won the game in Syria easily," said Amir Mohebbian, a conservative strategist and government adviser. "The US does not understand Syria. The Americans wanted to replace Assad, but what was the alternative? All they have done is encourage radical groups and made the borders less safe. We accept the need for change in Syria – but gradually. Otherwise, there is chaos," Mohebbian added.

The largest religious group in Syria is the Sunni Shafi'i Muslims, of whom about 70 percent are native Syrian Arabs, with the remainder being Kurds, Turkomans, Circassians, Iraqis and Palestinians. Sunni Islam sets the religious tone for Syria and provides the country's basic values.
