News crews are being asked not to film, that's normally bad news

From another very reliable forum one of the merlin helicopters displaying attended the scene itself just after the crash happened.

Update

Quote:
A Red Arrow aeroplane has crashed in Dorset following a display at the Bournemouth Air Festival.

The fire service confirmed they were called to an air crash at 13:50 BST near Bournemouth International Airport.

A BBC producer at the scene said he saw only eight of the nine Red Arrows RAF display team's aircraft land on the runway at the annual event.

They had earlier taken part in a display over the seafront. No details are known about possible casualties.
Update 2

Quote:
A Twitter account for the Bournemouth Air Festival said: "We are aware of the situation with the Red Arrows - will update you accordingly."

Police have confirmed they are dealing with "an incident" in the area although would not immediately give any details.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) also said it is investigating.

The aerobatic team was officially formed in 1965 and has taken part in over 4,000 displays in 53 countries, according to the official website.

A timetable said they were due to be carrying out a display at 1pm before a flypast in Drimpton - a village in West Dorset.
I do hope that pilot is ok.
