Step Counter Wrist Watch

The watch contains a small accelerometer, which is an instrument that detects movement.
It therefore detects arm movement.

On the assumption that in walking the arms swing, the corresponding arm swing is translated into steps.
No arm movement, no steps.

So if your watch arm is holding a shoulder strap, in your pocket, carrying a bag or riding a bike etc. there will be no step count.

Verdict - fairly useless, but of casual interest to fitness addicts.
You can make it count any number of steps, simply sitting down and swinging your arm.

One positive feature is that the watch gives your location instantly by GPS, heart rate and blood pressure. If the watch is an alert watch, a fall alert is incorporated in it which sends an alert to a 24/7 control and it becomes a speaker watch. Yourstride is a perfect example.
