Sorry to hear about your nipper mate.
My wife came down bad with it last night (presuming we're on about the Norovirus) and it was my daughter's 3rd birthday today.
All presents still wrapped, cards unopened - wouldn't be the same without her. We'll do it when she's well I guess.

It's contagious by touch & contaminated food/liquids I believe, but the intense vomiting can send the germ particles airborne so the rule is clean, clean, clean everything.
My wife's confined herself to the bedroom - I'm scared to death the little one will catch it.
