The Unifis aren't rocket science to configure. You don't need to keep the controller (fancy name for a bit of web code with a httpd running behind it) running unless you need to manage them to change the radio channel, update the firmware etc. The hardest thing you'll have to do is do the donkey work to get them neatly installed.

ie. getting the twisted pair up every floor of a three storey Victorian town house or fighting through the crap up in my loft to get a drop cable to the other side of the house!
