FOX UK has picked up the UK rights to the third season of FX’s geo-political thriller series Tyrant from international distributor Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, TVWise has learned. The show’s third season will premiere on FOX UK on Monday August 1st at 9pm.

After a heated bidding war, ITV has closed a deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Lethal Weapon, TVWise has learned.

BBC One has released the trailer for their three-part drama The Secret Agent – starring Toby Jones (Wayward Pines), Vicky McClure (Line Of Duty) and Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire).

The Secret Agent is set in London in 1886 and follows Soho shopkeeper Verloc, who, unbeknownst to his wife, works as a secret agent for the Russian government. Angry that Britain harbours violent anarchists, the Russians coerce Verloc into planting a bomb that will provoke the authorities into cracking down on these extremists
