They were planning to share the licence fee with ITV as well.

The amount of money it costs to pay the company that collects the licence,deals with customer enquiries ect.... and the amount it costs to chase millions who don't pay is probably near enough of what they collect from the people who do pay.

Just like Council Tax, it is just another one of them stupid fees that cost the same amount of money it costs to run the collections department.

Not saying they should privatise the BBC, just saying it should be commercially run, that means advertisements in breaks,in on demand content and product placement.

Advertising makes the world go around! Without advertising, the country will come to a standstill
