WAN led flashing constantly on Belkin router

Hi there, I have a Belkin (F5D7230-4) 802.11g Wireless cable router. I recently upgraded to firmware v4.03.03 and since then, the WAN led has been constantly flashing, but the connection is fine. Before I upgraded the firmware, the WAN light did not flash, it was always on solid, just like the connected and power leds.

Is this normal? Is this a new feature with the firmware. Seems a bit backward to me. Normally I would assume a flashing led indicates a problem. It is also very annoying as I can see it flashing in the corner of my eye.

Is there anything I can do? Maybe downgrade to my previous firmware v3 or something.

Thanks for your help,
Iain.
