Well, all road users seem unhappy with their lot. (Some) motorists consider cyclists to be vermin; (most) cyclists ride defensively to survive and (the majority of) pedestrians don't like sharing space. It's all a bit tense out there. Radical change is needed; simply waiting for gridlock is a cop out.
I would have thought that Glasgow has dangers other than bikes running traffic lights
