Obama offers American Immigrants the right to stay

Quote:
President Obama chose confrontation over conciliation on Thursday as he asserted the powers of the Oval Office to reshape the nation’s immigration system and all but dared members of next year’s Republican-controlled Congress to reverse his actions on behalf of millions of immigrants.
Pretty bold move. He has used an executive action which means it's in-force already but can be overturned by congress. However the Republicans learnt at the last election that the demographics have changed and to veto a policy so popular with the groups they need to win back would be risky.

Looks like the last two years of Obama's Presidency won't be boring.
