My first suggestion would be to try output SAT 2, and try both "sides" of the twin cable in turn.

Another issue is that the signal used for Freesat's setup/"signal lock" is not carried on one of the main cluster of satellites, but on one that's slightly away from them. This can cause issues with any satellite dish that isn't 100% aligned.
