What we do now is we have a savings account on where we put money away each month so we should be covered for a while. I know this may sound bad but I would not do what many I know have did and pay out thousands for a operation that will only give my dog a extended period of say 6-12 months.

When the time comes which I'm dreading by the way then we will way up the situation and if it is going to give him a better quality of life & high percent of cure then we will go for. I will not do what we did with our first dog and that was we kept him going for as long as possible but looking back this was selfish on our part and the only excuse I can give is we were young and naive as we took out a loan that we were still paying long after our first dog had passed, the only thing I would still do the same and I have no regrets at all doing is we paid for him to get cremated separately and his ashes returned to us I think that cost alone just over £100 and that's going back 15 years ago.

I had to laugh today when I phoned for a vets appointment and they said tomorrow at 5pm and can you bring a urine sample as that is one of the reasons why were taking him is he can't seem to pee atm among other stuff, so I really do not know how I'm expected to do this I think I may leave this job to hubby
Hope your pooch gets better, you could try the dogs trust
