but like Sky the BBC will get first refusal with a deal similar to what they currently have. only once the BBC refuse the deal will it go to tender. the BBC have a greater chance of keeping F1 after 2018 than another free to air channel does of getting it.
this is the reason BBC did the Sky deal as it keeps F 1 on the BBC for the forseable future even if its not the full season live.
