Re: Mis-billing for 01x calls

Oh I totally accept that - but there's a basic principle in British telecoms: That you pay for the number you have dialled.

If you call an 01/02/03 number, then you should be charged accordingly. The issue here seems to have been that people calling landline numbers that happen to be geographic equivalents to 084x numbers, are being charged for "operator connected" calls to said 084x numbers.

That technical faults happen from time-to-time is perfectly acceptable. What appears, from some comments on those forums, to be happening is that Virgin are being more than a little dishonest and/or underhand in how they are dealing with complaints.
