Actually I forgot to say, the VCR model I have is a VCR/DVD combi machine, but as the DVD side of it died just over a year after purchase,and I didn't have a guarantee beyond 1 year, that side of the machine is never used!So, it's a good excuse to get rid of it!
I may do an experiment with the "pause live tv" function later,I'm out for a couple of hours and will see how long it pauses for. Of course, that's not a long term option, as leaving the TV on for 2 hours when i'm not there is a waste of electricity!I'm still getting used to the digital mode on the TV - it's all been of no use to me till two weeks ago, the Freeview signal in the area was too weak to pick up ANYTHING digital!
