Re: Re installing 50 meg broadband?

Windows 7 is better than vista, lol windows 8 is coming

in the product life cycle, id expect windows 8 to have the stability of windows XP then the version of windows after will be back to the stability of vista.

seems to be how MS work lol,

they had 95, 98, XP... which were all largely similar OS, just improved upon with each release and XP got a new UI.. but the layout was largely untouched.

XP being the most stable.. yes I know they had ME in between but that did not really fit in with the normal product life cycle and earned a reputation as Migrane Edition.

then after XP, they had and will have

Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 which again all have similar UI, and with each release further developments of existing features and a couple of new ones.

which means it is likely windows 8 will be about as stable as it gets like XP.. then MS will move onto a new generation of OS written from scratch effectively, like Vista was, whole new UI etc.. and it will be buggy as hell like vista was, and will take the next 9 years to straighten out.

Back on topic though,

Nothing needs re-installing, the internet connection (superhub, hub, modem, router or whatever you are using) is pretty much as said plug and play, plug in, and it will recieve its IP address settings automatically usually... then it should work straight away

only thing which in some instances you will need to re-install is as said above LAN Adaptor drivers occasionally
