I quit about 5 years ago after about 10 years of 20+ a day, found it really easy tbh one morning I woke up with a chesty cough and just thought I am not smoking today and haven't since, I think you have to be "ready to give up", I'd never tried to before and if you had asked any of my friends or family if I could they'd have all said ''no'' guarantee it, good luck with it Mr A
