Ah, that's a different consideration.
The BT Retail home hub uses a VOIP connection over the xDSL connection allowing multiple simultaneous calls (
http://www2.bt.com/static/i/btretail..._activate.html). There is no reason that VM couldn't offer a similar service with suitable kit.
