Which sounds about right to me and given that my 5 1/2 day pw summer holiday job only paid me £11, that was a lot of money.

It's hard to imagine spending that much on a calculator .I remember them becoming widely available in the mid 70's but they where frowned on by my parents as being for the lazy good old fashioned log tables and times tables was all that where needed
