As nuch as I moan about the changes and things that don't match with Trek history I am still planning on watching though. Who knows maybe there will be a surprise or two and it will start to make sense.

Also what doesn't make sense is that the Discovery was nowhere to be seen in the trailer! No that is rather odd.
