Not quite...while lone wolf attacks have become more prevalent lately a majority of attacks by Islamic Terrorists (at least mass casualty ones) are still carried out by
groups of terrorists. Like an entire cell. (Whether it be in London / Belgium / Paris / San Francisco etc).
Mass casualty firearms / homicide / non terrorist attacks by domestic (local) residents / criminals that are not hatched overseas are almost always individual and not groups of people.
Overall though, nobody should be entirely surprised that criminals and terrorists all follow at least a basic linear pattern in which they agree and do the same thing. (Breaking the law with the effect of mass casualties in one way or another).
Though do not over-generalize too much ; you have no idea whether those who are responsible for lone shootings are right wingers or not...and a lot who are espouse to Nazism - that has nothing to do with the right. They do have one thing in common - both neo nazi's and Islamic terrorists hate Jews ; right wingers defend Israel and fight Islamic terrorism.
Your analogy is not accurate at all.
