The F.B.I, local police department and the school all could have stopped cruz at various points and none of them did and the scumbag went on to do exactly what he said he would but all the attention has been put onto firearms. This was a catastrophic system failure that ended up killing a lot of people and that's been completely brushed over in the rush to use this incident to further the gun control agenda being honest the speed with which the anti gunners capitalise on these incidents using families of the victims makes me nearly as sick as the incidents themselves.
