Just had a look and you're right, you can get really cheap tablets now, but not for 14" models.

Compared to the prices I saw, £299 doesn't seem bad at all.

If someone is happy to watch TV in this way it probably works out cheaper than paying a second TiVo installation and ongoing fee.

Personally, i'll stick with using my Samsung 10" tablet if I want to do this. The model I have is currently selling for £259, so when you look at it this way, another £40 for a 40% bigger screen isn't bad at all.

I say this as someone who scoffed at this when I first read about it, but if you're in the market for a large screen tablet it looks ok.

If you just want it instead of another TiVo, you might as well do as MisterQ says and buy a larger screen Android TV for half the price!

I wonder what make it will be though?
