Re: Car advice - Hissing Brake pedal
The hissing sound implies an air leak, that together with loosing the servo assistance (Hard pedal). Servo uses a vacuum from the inlet manifold of the engine to help braking action.
Brakes are a serious matter and if you can't spot an obvious leak, sometimes splits in hoses only show up if they're bent, best to go to the garage.
