The fact that content owners like Sky have not gone for users illegally accessing their content does not mean they will never do so. More likely they will put pressure on the likes of Netflix to crack down on VPN use.
Netflix have already cracked down on vpns, Netflix to their credit are aiming to get global rights for content so they can show the same content in all regions they operate in.
