Depends on what your needs are and what cost you're willing to pay.

The only consumer provider right now doing ~300mbps products is KC who charge £99 per month for their shared-fibre 350mbps service. Dedicated fibre then, at 1gbps, is going to be very expensive, even with consumer grade backhaul.

On the other hand VDSL, with no additional cost, also has prospects of over 500mbit in years to come, even gigabit over copper DSL already exists. As a mass-market consumer product it'll also be a hell of a lot cheaper.
