Had my first flight experience today, a Christmas present courtesy of my wife. Amazing, 30 minutes on ground instruction followed by one hour in the air. I thought it would be 'OK we're up to altitude, take the stick for 15 minutes and fly straight and level'. Nothing like. Apart from take off, the first 5 minutes and landing the instructor's hands were never on the stick. I flew it all! Very demanding, but also exciting. Luckily she's less of a back seat driver in the air than on the ground...
