RoboCop (2014)
Just back from seeing this.
It was... surprisingly
not awful
I still prefer the original, but I did actually really enjoy this version. It doesn't have the ultra-violence or the humour, and the only attempt at satire is SLJ's TV host, but it's actually quite well done and has a different take compared to the original.
I missed it having a villain like Kurtwood Smith's Clarence (the equivalent guy in this was pretty crap), but Keaton and Oldman were very good as the OmniCorp boss and Robo's inventor respectively. Also nice to see The Wire & Boardwalk Empire's Michael K. Williams.
Oh, and Oldman's assistant was hot (Vegas and Dexter's Aimee Garcia).
Maybe... 7/10, perhaps 8. [The original is one of my "tens".]
