Virgin Mobile - Complete muppets

Seriously, you would not believe how dumb a company can be.

We have four phones on contract atm, one each for me, my wife, and two of my daughters.

My third daughter wanted to move to VM now her Orange contract has expired, so ....

1. I try to order it online ... FAIL.

2. I go into the local store, they could not place the order, didnt know why, told me to ring up. FAIL.

3. Speak to VM, they cannot place the order becasue I already have four !!
Like WTF ? Some random limit ... do you not realise some familys have more than four members ? FAIL.

Anyway, they send off some request to increase it, which they say will take 1 day. I'm starting to get annoyed by now, but give them a chance.

4. After a day (as promised) they get back to me, its approved. Starts to place the order, needs to do a credit check, so I say sure, thats fine. Two minutes late - "we have a problem, we can only do three checks a month, and we used them up when you ordered replacement SIMS at christmas (FREE Sims !!). We cannot proceed". EPIC FAIL.

Seriously, they refused an order worth over £700 because of some artifical limit, because they did three credit checks to send me free sim cards in December.

"Can I try next month" ?

You must be joking, she'll just stay with Orange and get her new contract there.

So stupid you could not make it up.

Couldn't you just buy a VM phone from a supermarket on PAYG in the meantime? My son topped-up with £10 before Xmas and was given a FREE allowance for January (apparently a new thing).

Explained here:

I'm leaving for Three when my contract is up in the summer, i find the coverage terrible and the lack of 4G a disgrace these days... especially for a company that prides itself on fast internet

Yip muppets. I've posted my issues with them before and have no all but left them. Had four contracts and kept failing credit checks with their new contracts. So now got 3 contracts with Vodafone.

Still trying to leave is as much a hassle. Phoned for PAC codes and two weeks later still not got them! Apparently issues with my account and they had to refer it to IT to sort out.

I dont see what relevance this has to the issue.

Just moved away from 3 as their network as far as I'm aware does not support 2g and we could never get a signal

Yup, had nothing but hassle with them for over 2 years. I have spent far too many hours of my life trying to get them to understand that they have made a mistake. Finally make progress only to find the same mistake appears on the next month's bill.
My daughter's contract just expired so she's on monthly contract until July when my wife's contract expires. After that we'll all be moving from Virgin.

I've got 3 contracts with Three, and the wife has one. We have not had any problems with setting up or usage.

You must be very lucky out of 10 attempted calls that I made only one was connected using Three network, I left Three and changed to EE and I can connect every time to the same number.
