Splitter issues (possibly)

Hi

Apologies if this is completely the wrong place to post but I am hoping someone can help. We have reconnected our Virgin wifi (superhub 3.0) and media box today after getting lounge decorated. Now every time the TV is on the wifi does not work; fine with TV off. We recommends every cable and also swapped the coaxial cables between the two and then the wifi worked but whenever we downloaded anything the TV froze!!

We have a splitter and a 3db forward path attenuator. Deduction has led me to suspect the splitter - does that seem likely? Can we just replace it with a new one (and tag on the forward path attenuator) or do we need one specifically from Virgin? And if not the splitter then what could be the issue?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I would take the attenuator off. Make sure the input to the splitter is going to the wall and the other two ports go to your devices.

Make sure all fittings are as tight as your fingers can make them
